Tarnowskie Góry Lead-Silver-Zinc Mine

Adrian Lakomy Slovakia - 11-Dec-17

Visited the Historic Silver Mine in December 2017 and I have to say it was worthwhile. If you plan to visit it, I would recommend you to make a reservation, it made our situation easier. I can confirm that the minimum number of people is 4, we were 3 but as I agreed to pay for 4 we were allowed to visit, for which I am very thankful to the personnel.

The tour start by watching a movie about history and the site in a small cinema. Later it continues in a multimedia museum with interesting details about history, tools and machinery. After that follows the visit of the site itself.

Provins

Adrian Lakomy Slovakia - 18-May-16

Medieval. Authentic. Charmant.

Few words to describe the town itself. Visited in May 2016 and we really loved it. The ambience, food, the site itself. The best is the town still keeps it sense of being forgotten in time without beign overcrowded and full of 'tourist traps'. I can highly recommend this site.

Sulaiman-Too

Adrian Lakomy Slovakia - 20-May-13

Visited during a sunny day in April.

The site is located in city Osh not far from the border with Uzbekistan. The site in fact are five linked hills in the middle of the city. The city is located in a flat area so the Sulaiman-too is visible from far away.

The hills itself are quite steep, so you have to climb a bit.

This hill is sacred and it is still used as a place of worship on various places in the area. Most famous is a stone where you have to slide down if you want to heal your back. There are various places for other healing - arms, eyes and other illnesses

European Paper Mills (Velké Losiny Paper Mill) (T)

Adrian Lakomy Slovakia - 20-Jul-10

The paper mill is an interesting building. It is the only remaining hand made paper mill in Czech republic. Visit is not so long so you can try to make your own paper after the visit :)

Other important sights are the Castle in Velke Losiny and two wooden churches from 1609 in villages Marikov (3km) and Razova (4km).

As well there are spa in the same village.
